The process of obtaining a residence permit includes preparing a dossier according to requirements, applying for a D category visa, arriving on its basis on Bulgarian territory, applying for a residence permit in an authorized body, and receiving a resident card after notification of its readiness.
Mandatory for successful registration of a residence permit are the provision of original documents and corresponding reality information, the presence of rented or own real estate on the territory of the country, no violation of the law in EU countries.
To obtain a residence permit, you need to provide a foreign passport, a certificate of no criminal record, medical insurance policy, photo 4.5 x 3.5 cm, confirmation of place of residence and grounds for requesting a residence permit (for example, marriage certificate, employment contract, certificate of enrollment in university or other document).
A foreigner needs to confirm the presence of stable monthly financial support in the amount not less than the minimum wage, scholarship or pension for living on Bulgarian territory. As for obtaining a residence permit based on investment, in this case the minimum amount of capital investment in the country’s economy is 256 000 EUR. The possibility of investing in a Bulgarian company or funds, buying shares is allowed.
